Every morning on Harper Farm starts the same way — Daisy calls, Bruno waits, and Toto runs. She collects the eggs (and catches Penny), visits Daisy in the barn, and learns something small and true from the people around her. But today is different. At the back of the vegetable garden, Grandpa Joe has made her something: a small square of soft dark earth, fenced off with sticks and string. It is hers. She can plant whatever she wants.
